My latest project: For Mr. Bayle

I very recently talked myself into buying a new electronic sewing machine. To say I was excited was a bit of an understatement. Making this little project was my main motivator (or so I told myself). My super basic Singer sewing machine would have gotten the job done, as I had just finished making a girlie version of this quilt, but not without some trouble and unwanted hassle. So, new sewing machine it was. This is the little quilt I made for Bayle, the absolutely adorable brand new little boy of some of my besties.

The colors are a bit brighter than my phone shows. Mike did a great job of helping me pick out the fabrics, even though I'm positive he'd rather have been taking a nap before work.

Children can never have enough blankets, no? I know I can't, so the same must apply to little ones.

Here's a closeup of the fun topstitching that I was able to do with my fancy new Brother sewing machine. Thanks Lulu for stepping in the picture. Always has to be a part of everything, that cat. To the Austin's, I'm sorry about the cat hair you inevitably took home with you; I really did do my best to keep them off of it.

Next up: Aprons!

So much Love

I just had to get rid of the last post title as being the one left on people feeds. :)

So I give you Mike and his cats:

Yes, they really do sleep like this often. Lulu is Mike's living "teddy bear." He can sleep with his arm around her and it doesn't bother her one bit, in fact I think she really likes it.

And there's Murphy gazing lovingly at his Mike. He follows Mike around and you can hear Mike saying "Follow, follow, follow" as Murphy trails behind.

Oh, and yes. I often take pictures of Mike sleeping.
