Carnval Chaos

This was the awesome view I had last week. Boxes of cheap little toys....lots of them. Not going to lie, it stressed me out big time. I've managed to get it a little under control for the moment. Still quite a bit to do to get totally ready though.

How cute is a box full of dressed up rubber duckies?

It was dinosaur egg stuffing time for the Dino Dig

I put some of these little guys in there. I've never wanted to hug a dinosaur so much as when I saw these little things.

And finally, nerd alert. Here I am, with three of the prizes. Jealous much?

It was the first time in seven years, that I had the fourth off (as I've told so many people, already)

I have a few pictures to share from the night:

Amazing, right? McKenna has the same knack for the camera as her auntie.

I got to go to the fireworks with McKenna, Connor (in the middle) and my brother. It was a hoot. Listening to the two of them sing in the backseat of the car on the way to them was adorable. Connor and Charlie (my brother's friends son) are both holding onto blackberries that have a countdown to the start of the fireworks. There were none too happy to be asked to look away from them and Connor said "Can I look back at the screen now?" immediately after the flash went off. Notice that he didn't quite take his eyes off of it. And btw, there was probably 50 minutes on there at the time...we got there a bit early.

It was a nice relaxing day. I ate grilled food three different times from three different households, spent time with family, got a blister from the driving range, met and held my niece Mallory, for the first time and saw McKenna experience her first fireworks.

When asked if McKenna liked her first foray into fireworks she simply replied, "No, they were too loud." And there you have it.
